Ya I am finding myself buying more from the states too! I picked up my marker (barely used) for a little bit more than half the price new in Canada with a stiffi barrel and shipped! Anyways good luck and you could always ship to the border and bring it across yourself.

Do you guys just mail order or drive to a shop across the line? I bought a couple things from First Call Paintball but after duty and shipping, there wasn't a lot of difference. That small of a price difference I would rather give the local shops the business.

No you are right. After tax, duties, gas and harassment from the border guards sometimes you are better off getting shipped into Canada. If you do get it shipped to Canada MAKE SURE THE SHIPPER USES USPS (US Postal Service) as UPS, Fedex all charge you around $30-50 for brokerage fee on top of duties and taxes.

If you are shipping to the border using Blaine Enterprises ($3 CDN handling charge) or TSB ($3USD handling charge) you have to bring it across the border declare it or ask the seller to declare it as a gift. I would just be careful when you bring over new in box items as they will ask questions at the border.

This is from my own experience and usually I have items shipped to Canada to me unless it is an expensive item where I want to avoid expensive shipping, duties and taxes, then I get it shipped to the border.

Hope this helps

lol o you people afraid of bringing stuff into Canada. i bring stuff across all the time like 2 times a week not as a job but stuff for me and friends. just bring your receipt and your all fine. declare it when coming back into Canada and when you go down make sure you dont tell them it's for business or the charge you $11 for road use. on the way back up dont claim it as business or you have 2 import it as a company. simple rules just follow them.

From the point i got into paintball everything i own is from states i just get it shipped to point roberts declare everything at border they charge me duty if its more than 60$ no hassels whatsoever most of the times they let you in for free. just be honest do not try any hide and seek you will be ban for life and then they will give you trouble.

I think the amount of paintball stuff i got at point roberts they all know me by know both US and Cdn border guards. i highly recommend it plus you get gas for like 85cents when its dolla fifteen here so saves you money on gas too.
