do you guys think this is a good deal?
1. a psychoballistics superbolt. no reg and no asa. but it comes with a 14" bl assassin barrel.
2. a blue trilogy. comes with a cp reg and a on/off asa and a 12" proto barrel.
both markers for $80.
is it a good deal? also would a ccm deluxe pump kit work with the superbolt?

also don. if your reading this. do you have any slider triggers in?

Hello 604, this is Don's son, we currently don't have any slider frames to part with.

Which one would I take for $80? I'll explain the cons and pros of both

Superbolt:

Overall these are OKAY guns, but they hardly ever work so either you'll need to buy aftermarket pneumatics and spend a lifetime TRYING to get it timed only for it to leak on you again. Also the Superbolt is made of very low quality aluminum or as I call it "Chinese knock-off crap". Although they are designed after the DYE Ultralight so overall it's a small and light package. Worst part of the entire gun is that it is mini'd, a meh pump kit for around $50 and a high end pump kit for around $140. (http://cgi.ebay.com/Mini-2K-Pump-Kit...item414c233abe) If, and that's a big IF you can get it shooting nice, it will shoot nice. I would only suggest it since it can accept standard 2k+ cocker internals so you can easily upgrade out of the crap it comes with.

Pros
-Lightweight
-Nice barrel
-Flexible with upgrades and modification

Con
-Made of crap material
-Crap pneumatics
-Crap internals
-Crappy consistency of their production standards
-Mini pump kits are expensive
-Doesn't come with a regulator or ASA

Trilogy:

A very simple gun that overall runs very nice. Even though they run at a high pressure out of the box they shoot great with a little bit of adjusting to the velocity. If you want to run it at a lower pressure it'll take a bit of work to the internals but overall they shoot great. A pump kit for one of these is actually very cheap from PMP (http://www.pmpind.com/Products.aspx?CAT=291) and are actually quite nice. As is the Superbolt the Trilogy is made of crappy aluminum but for $80 for either of these guns you can't really ask much.

Pros
-Shoots well in semi out of box
-Regulator is pretty good (Worth $80 brand new)
-Derlin bolts are always a godsend for smoothness
-Pump kits are cheap
-Again, a nice barrel

Cons
-Crap material again
-May be finicky at times
-Only accept Trilogy internals, so you're stuck with what you got

If I'm reading wrong and you mean both for $80 I don't see a reason NOT to buy them, but if it's $80 for one, take the Trilogy. The reg on the Trilogy is worth the $80 brand new so if you part it you could easily fetch $55ish

thanks a lot. yeah its $80 for both. i was just mainly interested in buying both markers for the parts. just like you explained, im basically paying for the cp reg. he says theirs a problem with the trilogy. either the spring is worn out or the valve has a leak. im going to ask him if he could sell just the trilogy.

Here is some information, parts, and upgrades I suggest for the Superbolt.

Superbolt Information:

-This gun uses a EVO bolt and P-back block, which is shorter then your standard autococker bolt/back block.

-It uses standard autococker internals, not Karnivor or Trilogy internals.(Standard, Karni, and Trilogy internals are all different sizes)

-The Superbolt is actually one of the most milled autococker next to the 2004 WGP Prostock and 2002 WGP Center/Right feed cocker bodies.

Aftermarket Parts:

Gotta remember that the Superbolt uses a mini-front block. There are a few pump kits you can get for it.

-CCM
http://cgi.ebay.com/Mini-2K-Pump-Kit...item414c233abe

-GAT Products
http://www.gatproducts.com/pump.html

There are also alot of aftermarket parts you can acquire, but you may have to buy used for some of this stuff.
-Trigger frames (45's, 86's, 90's) (Slider or hinger triggers)
-Delrin bolts
-Regulators (CP, AKA, Palmers, etc)
-On/offs
-Feednecks
-Barrels (always remember to underbore your barrel-to-paint)
